Circuit breakers are the main part of any power system, they are used to isolate the load from the source in any abnormal condition like if there is a short circuit at the load end or there is over current drawn by the load the Circuit breaker will break the connection of load and source by sensing from the built-in relay or external relay which is monitoring the abnormal condition. In high Current or high-power applications, there can be arcing and sparking when contact is made or break so to minimize the arcing and sparking different techniques are used like Insulator Gases, Vacuum or Air forced between the contacts of the breaker.
